About Your Course Instructor
-Paul Acedera currently serves as the risk manager of a 695-bed Level One Trauma academic medical center in Northeast Florida.
His prior professional experiences include participation in a research study on the use of clinical decision support software on various naval platforms and being a performance/quality improvement specialist. His naval career in the Hospital Corps involved hospital pharmacy and fleet hospital operations, mid-level management positions, and instructor duties.
Mr. Acedera is a licensed healthcare risk manager and is a Certified Professional in Healthcare Risk Management with the American Society for Healthcare Risk Management (ASHRM). He has taught for SIUC's military off-campus Health Care Management program since 2002.
-Les Jebson currently serves as an Administrator and Lecturer with SIU School of Medicine.
Mr. Jebson is certified and a fellow with both The American College of Healthcare Executives [ACHE] and The Medical Group Management Association [MGMA] and is also a Licensed Healthcare Risk Manager [ASHRM]
He currently serves as an active faculty instructor for several universities and healthcare professional organizations, and has over 100+ authored healthcare publications and national speaking engagements.
